Also in Breitenbach was rafted earlier, it was a serious and dangerous work. Because of the steep slopes, the wood was brought on sledges in the valley and brought in small lakes of Breitenbach. To the right and left of the Breitenbach is the brook edged with heavy stones. In the course of industrialization, the expansion of the rail and road network and so was the rafting after 1960 largely stopped. Sometimes the stones were taken from the Breitenbach and used for building the house.
