On the Kalmit-Vorberg Hüttenberg lies the Felsenmeer Hüttenberg. The area is dotted with large boulders, which come from the so-called Karlstal layers of the Middle Buntsandstein. They were created during various periods of cold, when the previously closed rock layer was broken up into individual debris by freezing.
