Hiking
The Waaghaus, a beautiful building dating from 1634, housed the public scales until 1780. These scales can still be seen in a fresco by Albert Stolz in Waaggasse, the street connecting Kornplatz with the arcades. The hinges of the former city gate can also be discerned there with a keen eye.
The Waaghaus is not only one of the oldest, but also the only freestanding building in the arcades of Bolzano.

The Waaggasse in Bolzano (Italian Vicolo della Pesa) is one of the most historic alleys in the historical center of the South Tyrolean provincial capital. It connects the famous Bolzano Laubengasse (the medieval trading center) with the Kornplatz, the oldest square in the city.
