Location: Bolzano - Bozen, South Tyrol, Italy
The approximately 2.5 km long promenade runs north and east of Bozen, between St. Anton at the entrance to the Sarntal valley and the wine-growing region of St. Magdalena. The easily walkable path on the Hörtenberg with its many serpentines was laid out about 100 years ago. It is named after the church of St. Oswald of Northumbria, which was severely damaged in World War II. Distinctive features of the St.Oswald trail are the "Wilden Mander", 2 rock towers made of porphyry conglomerate.
