This water feature has been connected to the drinking water supply since 2007. The three figures are made of volcanic rock and represent a woman (Eloquentia) and her two brothers. Water flows from her mouth like a torrent of speech, while it runs out of the ears of one of the male heads, while the third is drinking.
The name "spitting and swallowing" is derived from this view.

The "Spit and Swallow" water feature is connected to a drinking water pipe, but is not a fountain in the narrower sense. Walter Sachs created this installation on Ferdinand-Freilgrath-Strasse in front of the Siechenbräu house in Weimar.
