At the end of the day we made a little detour to the town of Bad Sachsa. Of particular note here is the beautiful spa park including a pond. We also liked the entire charm of the city, which is obviously very much geared towards tourism. Of course, we also have to give praise to the local Greeks, with whom we fortified ourselves after a long day of hiking Wand

Finally back in the Harz😊😁Da Komoot, at the beginning of the tour, had suddenly covered incredible altitude at breathtaking speed, I stopped the tour after about 2.5 km and started again. The total length is therefore missing these kilometers. Overcoming the anger about it, we were finally able to fully enjoy the tour. The first few kilometers were typical of Harz. Easy-to-walk forest trails, along two HWN stamp locations, with great highlights such as the castle ruin Scharzfels, the impressive stone church or the great Harz views at various points on the tour. The last few kilometers, after the stone church, were unfortunately not so attractive anymore, because on asphalt under the glowing sun😒
Certainly not the most beautiful tour in the Harz Mountains, but the region is definitely worth a trip 👌🏼

Today we took a wonderful and historically very interesting hike. The small town of Geisa in the Thuringian Rhön is definitely worth a visit. In general, the Rhön seems to be a real hiking paradise and we will surely stop by here several times.
The famous Point Alpha memorial (former base of the US Army) gives impressive insights into the Cold War era, you can have a look.
Komoot did not seem to like the tour as all my pictures were no longer visible after uploading and are now mixed up after manual uploading. Well, the tour was still a lot of fun for us.
