Der 1000-Teiche-Rundwanderweg ist wirklich einer der besten ausgeschilderten Wanderwege, die ich bisher kennenlernen durfte. Er ist ohne Anstrengung zu laufen. Der erste Schnee und zu Beginn der Sonnenschein machten unsere Runde irgendwie perfekt. Später, als der Wind auffrischte und die eine oder andere dunkle Wolke aufzog, waren wir dankbar für die kleine Schutzhütte zu Beginn des Weges zwischen Gocheteich und Fürstenteich, in der wir eine kurze Rast einlegten. Und das Pfahlhaus am Hausteich war dann mit dem 3. Stempel des Rundwanderweges natürlich unser kleines Highligth am Ende unserer Tour. Und bis auf einen einsamen Gassi-Gänger waren wir gefühlt allein an diesem Tag dort unterwegs, was manchmal auch seinen Charme hat.

Das ehemalige Zisterzienserkloster Pforta mit seinen umliegenden Gebäuden und dem Internatsgymnasium übt gewiss nicht nur auf uns eine Faszination aus. Heute hatten wir das Glück, dass die Kirche geöffnet war. Bei vielen Besuchen vormals war uns der Zutritt nicht möglich. Und es war eine Freude. Nach einer ausgiebigen Besichtigung ging es weiter an der Kleinen Saale entlang nach Almrich und von dort auf dem Saaleradweg zurück. Eine kleine wunderschöne Strecke.
