The restored Maribor Synagogue is one of the oldest surviving synagogues in Europe and the most important monument of Jewish culture in Slovenia. The building, which is over 700 years old, is now a cultural institution where you can visit exhibitions, concerts, literary evenings and lectures. (visitmaribor.si)

A synagogue that was converted into a Catholic church as early as 1429 when the Jews were expelled. On September 6th, 2021, the European Day of Jewish Culture, it was open and we were able to see the photo exhibition about the largest Slovenian pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1910.
