St. Sebaldus Church is an imposing church located right in the center, not far from the Hauptmarkt and the Frauenkirche/Schöner Brunnen. At the foot of the church, towards the Hauptmarkt, you'll find the Bratwursthäusle on the right. You can eat there, and locals also go there. Display cases inside the church display objects from the Middle Ages, as well as the remains of a stick bomb from World War II.

A tour of the tower is a must, if possible.

    Highly recommended!

(More information about the tower tour below 😉)

Built from 1215 as a pillar basilica in the late Romanesque style, later adapted to the Gothic style. The church was badly damaged in World War II, but was rebuilt and inaugurated in 1957.
The main attraction inside is the tomb of St. Sebaldus. The Cross of Nails from Coventry is also impressive.

Nuremberg's oldest parish church has a striking outline. The choir is significantly larger than the rest of the church. It is located below the castle, opposite the town hall and near the main market.
So if you are still receptive to further impressions, then definitely take a look at the church from the inside. It is open and only costs €2 voluntary entry (as of March 2023).
If you have already collected (too many) impressions up to this point, then simply walk around the outside and marvel at the reliefs there until you get to the Bratwursthäusle, where you can regain your strength.
