The Raven Tower is a very fortified and well-preserved tower. It is located in the northwest of the historic old town of Aschersleben, which is surrounded by the city walls, not far from the former Hohen Tor. This 31 meter high watchtower has a stone helmet and a battlemented parapet. It was built in 1442 in gothic style. The four-storey raven tower has a total of 21 loopholes, which allows conclusions about the strength of the former tower crew. In the past, the path led past the gallows where the ravens were already circling. Thus, the building received its present name. In our days, the Raven Tower is only accessible as part of a city tour.
