      With a slight delay...
The cloudy Sunday was used to collect three missing stamps in and around Königslutter:
      #10 Geopark Information Center
      #11 Kaiserdom Koenigslutter
      #12 Hainholz Quarry Experience
In the historic old town of Königslutter you will find a lot of special corners. It is certainly worth exploring them more closely on a separate city walk - possibly in combination with a visit to the cathedral or in the Geopark Information Center.
An exploration of the Hainholz adventure quarry can easily be combined with several smaller, interesting quarries in the immediate vicinity. Incidentally, this can be reached in about 15 minutes from the nearby car park.
I was particularly enthusiastic about the forest area around the Abt-Fabricius-Weg, an old cattle drive. There are all sorts of sights to see within a short distance:
an artificial waterfall, the Kutscherloch, the fall and pond springs of the Lutter, the somewhat outdated fountain house at the Lutterspring and lots of tree fiends.

      Who didn't finish yesterday?
The weather was a catastrophe today: slush pamphlet in the morning, changing to rain and just gray and gloomy!
My little black dog began to whimper softly in the background ...
Nobody wanted to accompany me either, one had to prepare mentally for the school that started again tomorrow, and also way too outside
So get into your clothes and go out on your own!
From the front door, right towards the forest:
The wave of ancestors all the way up to the "Winzenburger bus stop". Okay, also better known as "Hornser Bahnhof" - the rail traffic was canceled due to the weather, there was no replacement traffic either🤷‍♀️ ... so just enjoyed the great, albeit hazy, foresight. Then over the Dachsbergweg and the Rüstibergweg in the direction of Everode, and then downhill again over the Douglasienweg to Winzenburg. No experiments today: only paved paths😊! Encounters: lots of trees, lots of peace and quiet and two deer 🥰
Finally, made a detour to the Ape ponds and the associated spring - a really beautiful piece of nature in every season! Who knows which nature spirits are hiding here ... there is always a lot of interesting things to discover on the "sacrificial stone" !?

Since mid-November 2021, between Bentierode and Bad Gandersheim, you can collect 24 stamps based on the Harz hiking pin. A corresponding stamp booklet is available as a PDF file for printing - if you want to save ink, opt for the slimmed-down version😉!Originally I wanted to start in Bentierode, but rejected the plan due to the numerous hunting signs. After looking at Komoot again, I decided on a different starting point.
The tour is a very muddy affair - lots of easy-to-run farm roads - and a little adventurous to discover the small stamp jars using the map ... you should first note a few bullet points for better orientation, e.g. fruit tree, graffiti, etc. otherwise you run past quickly😊!
In order to cross the ICE route in the area of number 21, you have to accept a piece of the road. However, this is only very moderately frequented, as 2 to 3 trains thunder past you!
All in all, a nicely organized story with some unusual stamp storage locations and a lot of potential for rail traffic romantics! Incidentally, the entire route is suitable for cycling and is therefore also a great family business. As a hiker you have to be a little bit on field and meadow impressions as well as lazy dog owners, but unknown paths and views make up for a lot!

Today it didn't want to get really light somehow, the view from the window was just gray on gray. Well, a bookseller can easily spend days like this in home office mode, but shopping doesn't come home by itself😊:
So before that, go out for a while, almost on the way to the supermarket, parked my car in Irmenseul and walked a little in the footsteps of our ancestors' faith ...
The Irmen owl was therefore the largest sanctuary, a mighty tree trunk that supported the universe and was set up in a consecrated place (a mountain height, a grove or a spring).
772 AD Charlemagne is said to have destroyed it during conquests in pagan Saxony. To this day there are various assumptions about the location of the Irmenseule at that time: in addition to the Eresburg an der Diemel, the Externsteine near Detmold, it could also have been near this small village.
I love such legendary places and because of the time window I decided on the blue route. Great meadow paths, partly lined with hedges, ... if you know the books "In the shadow of the witches", you suspect why I immediately thought of Hagzissen 🧙‍♀️ !? Every now and then there are benches with views as far as the eye can see and a refuge with a summit book, the top signage by the local history association Irmenseul is particularly worth mentioning, here, like at Ikea, you are almost forced to walk and you can't actually get lost 👌. The route partly leads through a nature reserve and the location of the (replicated) Irmen owl is impressive.
Despite the onset of rain showers, a round worth repeating and definitely not just something for little mystics like me!

This is the attempt to pack the NHaVo stamping station Schroederstollen in a meaningful round. It has to be different than the first time: Drive-In🙈 !?
So a bit of water combined with wide forest and meadow paths, a large portion of dirt on the shoes and the targeted stamp and that is what came out ...
The Morgensternteich, a holdover from the days of open-cast mining in the area, is now managed by a local fishing club. Everywhere around the lake there are footbridges, some with nice benches, that you will be jealous of the view of the lake ... but be careful, it is better not to step on them - sometimes it is slippery!
Past the Morgenstern landfill, it goes on gravel paths through the forest towards Döhren. Incidentally, all road stages can be replaced by meadow paths (only not visible on Komoot). The route over the Schneeberg is currently not for people who like clean shoes: one step forward, two back ...
From this side, the site of the Arge Schroederstollen is only fenced off by a chain, curiosity has triumphed, because the stamp box and information board do not give much. But of course we stayed on the paths according to the regulations and only watched Thomas, the little locomotive hibernate for a short time.
Then with the light fading and nasty gusts of wind, started the way back through the Feldmark from the right and arrived at the car just in time for the next downpour.

The new year begins with a small afternoon lap that revolves around sculptures and ridge paths. In the immediate vicinity of the SZ-Bad golf course you will encounter five quite different steel giants, some of which have somewhat cute names ... but well: artistic freedom!
This bit of cult (o) ur can be easily combined with lots of nature: the NSG Speckenberg and the Kassebusch landscape protection area begin above the golf course and are connected by an extremely beautiful ridge path. The partly fairytale-like fallen old trees to the left and right of the path give this forest area a very special flair🧚‍♀️ ... one or the other alien can also be discovered here.
The Lewer Berg ridge trail is well signposted, but it is far from being able to compete.
After a long tea break with a view of the Straute, we went back to the car in the fading sunlight ...
The beginning has been made for 2022 - let's see how many hikes there will be this year!?!

      The same pocedure as yesterday:
      15 degrees ... and that in December🧐!
Our year-end tour took us to Pillowbrück Station1 NHaVo in the rather morbid park at the Hedwigsburg manor. Then along the Alte Ilse and the Oker to Hedwigsburg, from there with the romantic district road to Neindorf and on to the Ösel: formerly a sheep pasture, today an absolute gem!
There is too little time for detailed descriptions today ...
      In this sense:
      Let's sprinkle glitter
      ... on what was
      ... on what comes up,
      ... to a new chapter,
      ...To a New Year,
      ... to 2022✨

At temperatures like April, another section of my favorite nature reserve was explored yesterday:
from Sehlde to Heere and back through the NSG Mittleres Innerstetal (with Kanstein).
Sometimes you have to make do with dead straight farm roads, but both on the way there and on the way back there are very beautiful single trail sections through the floodplains with many monstrous trees and a really creepy tree monster😲! Traces of hardworking beavers can also be found in many places near the shore.

Take a lot of sunshine🌞, minus degrees ❄, part of the NSG Mittleres Innerstetal, a book fairy with a touch of Christmas glitter and the little nasty green Grinch is slumbering peacefully😉!
Parked below Derneburg Castle, taken a bit of the Laves culture trail, on frosty, sparkling little paths first along the Nette, later along the Innerste, after crossing the same at Heersum with a bouquet of mistletoe in the luggage at Astenbeck, formerly the location of the tavern and grain distillery of the Princes of Münster, back to Holle on glistening, frozen meadow paths. A section of the cycle path on the B6 brings you to the Derneburg junction to the ponds of the same name, although these currently have little water, but are a great photo spot with a view of the castle.
With that in mind, Merry Grinchmas🎅!

Almost at the end of our tour today we were asked:
"Well, what are you doing here? Are you looking for Santa Claus?"
Hmmm🤔, no - we neither looked nor found him!
But once again strolled through my beloved Ringelheimer Auenland along the innermost part. A bit of sightseeing in Alt Wallmoden and Ringelheim. Some animal encounters. Take a break in what is probably the smallest refuge in the Goslar district. Another highlight: a visit to a "Periodic Lake" in the Neiletal - the Kirschensoog. Unfortunately, you first have to take a piece of the county road and then a swamp pack for your shoes to get to the edge of this hollow. Anyway, it was exciting anyway!
In addition, my 222nd hike in total, the 120th for this year and an "outdoors in nature" tour with (m) a loved one - perfect for a mean 4th Advent!
