At the weekend I was drawn to still completely unknown hiking regions: the Asse recreation area near Wittmar.
Right at the beginning three highlights are lined up closely together:
❄💕die Liebesallee - even in winter the Schneitel beeches have their very own charm ... and with the right company?!
❄🏢 the Bismarck Tower - an imposing building that invites you to climb outside of C. or in the summer months ... I was spared that for the moment!
❄🏰 the Asseburg - here got hold of another ILE stamp, which according to local residents actually always shines because of its absence. Well, sometimes you should have a 🧚‍♀️ with you ...
A little up and down to the Festberg above Groß Denkte: there was once a stamp box here. Relocated in the meantime, but you have a particularly beautiful panoramic view of the Harz, Wolfenbüttel and Salzgitter ... and a coffee break ☕ under the pines.
After another short ascent you reach a wonderful ridge path ...

.... from the stamp station number 8 it went on on wide paths to a rather inconspicuous path that quickly transports you to a great ridge path with a view of Nauen. Here, at the junction towards the hiking car park, you come across an interesting collection of boundary and marker stones.
Overall, a recommended round of approx. 6.5 km, which is certainly expandable. It doesn't always have to be the resin 😉!

Today stamps collect in the northern Harz foreland near Nauen / Lutter am Barenberg: the viewing platform for the forest adventure path (with a historical background) can be reached quickly and from there has a wonderful view of the Harz. Passing numerous interesting stations on the subject of forests, near the Ohe-Hütte you come across 👵 & 👴, a natural monument made of two ancient, imposing oaks.
Unfortunately, I didn't have my fingers under control here and tapped "End tour and save"!
      That's why there's part 2 ...

If the world is in silver snow, the time to dream begins!
      (Unholy / winter)
With this song in the back of my mind, I haunted the woods of the neighboring community of Lamspringe today. Discovered beautiful new ways 🙂 ... you have to think about the crunch of the snow Schne!

At the start of the hiking year 2021 a tour with wow moments:
It all started at the Stemberghaus charcoal burning plant (HWN 60 🧙‍♀️⚒). Here you can actually park right next to the green box. First station high above the largest Harz dam: the Rotestein (HWN 54 🍀) - a worthwhile hiking destination! With good visibility, like today, you can see as far as the Wurmberg and the Brocken. The next stage led to the Wendefurther dam (HWN 62 🧙‍♀️📙). The path with some descent passages is not entirely without, especially the stones hidden under the leaves on the narrow path are treacherous and on one side it goes quite steeply downhill. The beautifully situated bank next to the stamp box was unfortunately already occupied today, so a coffee break below the dam at the 👻 stamp Glasarche station 2..
The conclusion was the Schöneburg (HWN 63 🧙‍♀️) - a "disappeared" hilltop castle. Today there is only one refuge: if you like, you can write your name in the summit book. There is also a magnificent view of Altenbrak. The way up from the Bodetal valley brings with it small paths ... (better up than down)
Overall, in wintry weather, a mix of snow, ice, a lot of mud and slipping areas - which doesn't detract from the appeal of these very different stamping areas

Actually, I wanted to go to Winzenburg on my last Sunday lap ... which might not be my best idea with this wind. Because in between you could hear loud noises of rotten trees crashing in the forest ... so change of plan: stay on the main path to the closest junction towards the edge of the forest ... here at the edge of the field a bench occupied for a long time with a view of Hornsen, Lamspringe and a few other villages . Further through the Feldmark .... to one of my favorite refueling locations, the "Hornser Bahnhof" or the "Winzenburger Bus Stop" - this is where the tenure claims of the locals differ 🤷‍♀️ .. As a newcomer, I totally booed, I could spend hours in the countryside here watch. With a strong tailwind, the ancestral wave blown down again🌬 ...

Today there were a few special postmarks on the program: from the parking lot of the Harz University we first went to the former Himmelpforte monastery. Then the stamp was collected at Argenta's place of residence and at the Hasseröder holiday park (this only in the app, because it was behind closed doors). From here the fairy tale trail leads steadily uphill to the poor people's house (HWN 35). Absolutely lovingly and interestingly designed for both small and large children😉!
Finally, a detour to the Rapunzel Tower including ingenious views ... from the very top, too ?! Without my altitude therapist, I managed 2/3 of the way, and finally examined the rest of the stairs from below 🤷‍♀️ ... it was much too windy anyway ... 🤭!
The round can be expanded to include the Harburg Stempel stamp and the HWN 34 Scharfenstein. For me, after a break without being released by a prince, I went back to the car on easy-to-run single trails. Overall, a very nice round 🎄!

This tour is characterized by extremely different ascents 😉:
It started in Heimburg with the first ascent on the Altenburg to collect No. 84 ... the tree circle there impresses me again and again. Then I should come across one of the (so far) most beautiful routes in the Harz Mountains: the panorama trail through the NSG Ziegenberg! When the wind was strong, an ingenious ridge path (also collected the 👻 on the Struvenberg) took me to Benzingerode in roller coaster mode: there the next ascent to the Austberg Tower (HWN 83). From here you have a great view of the surrounding area ... provided you are not afraid of heights 😟
Finally, the extreme of mood swings: the climb to the Stapenberg🥴! Once and never again ... only with motivational impulses😉 ?! Especially for what? So I imagined the HWN 33 to be different ..
All in all, however, a wonderful route that I can recommend (with a few small exceptions) ☆☆☆☆☆!
