In Heringsdorf is the largest beach chair in the world. It measures six by four by three meters, has lights and even a WLAN hotspot right next door. The basket was built by the “Korbwerk Manufaktur”. For months, the carpenters and weavers of the oldest still producing beach chair manufacturer in Germany worked on this top-class beach furniture. They processed around 3.5 cubic meters of wood, 85 square meters of fabric and three kilometers of braided tape in well over 1000 hours. Even a foundation was poured for the new Heringsdorf landmark.
