There was already a pier in Bansin in the Wilhelminian period, but it had to be removed after the Second World War due to the weather. Only in 1990 was a new, 285 meter long pier built.

In appearance it is rather puristically simple and has no land or bridge buildings. Nevertheless, it is very popular with visitors, as from this exposed location you have a great view of the striking spa architecture of the seaside resort, or you can board one of the Adler passenger ships that go on excursions to the neighboring seaside resorts set sail to the island of Rügen or to Świnoujście (Swinemünde) in Poland.
