On the market square is the Luitpoldbrunnen, built in 1898 based on a design by the architect Martin Dülfer and with sculptures by the sculptor Eduard Beyrer. Stored in the building yard during the Nazi era, it was re-erected at its old location in 1994 at the request of the citizens of Kulmbach and brought back to life.
