Not much is known about the small tower hill castle, which despite its name has nothing to do with the Swedes; it was probably the ancestral home of the Lords of Haug (Burghaig). These were first mentioned in 1183. In 1376 the castle was owned by the Lords of Künsberg.
In 1398 the castle site was only mentioned as a castle stable in the land register of the Plassenberg rule.

You can't see much of the complex ... hills, a stream and trees make this a beautiful enchanted piece of forest.
