Three gravestones (2"Bodenburg and 1*Schazmann) come from the former "cemetery except the castle", the gravestone of the Rogues of Bergen from the dismantled old castle church.
The inscription on Elisabetha von Bodenburg's gravestone suggests an extremely happy marriage.

the "Grabplatten Schazmann und Bodenburg" (tombstones Schazmann and Bodenburg), which were located in the cemetery outside the castle walls until March 2014. The cemetery was bordered by the castle wall, the driveway, and a steep slope and was used as a garden after the cemetery inside the castle was closed.

The historical gravestones date from the late Baroque period, were restored and re-erected, with support from the Friedberger Geschichtsverein e.V. and the state of Hessen.
