The Hexbachtal is a picturesque valley in the border area between Essen, Mülheim an der Ruhr and Oberhausen in Germany. It is a side valley of the Emscher and is known for its natural beauty and ecological importance. The valley is designated as a landscape conservation area and in some parts as a nature reserve.The Hexbach, which flows through the valley, forms the border between Mülheim an der Ruhr-Dümpten and Essen-Bedingrade. The valley is about five kilometers long and serves as a popular recreational area for locals to hike, cycle and enjoy nature.The Hexbachtal is part of the Regional Green Belt B and is mainly used for agricultural purposes, with the stream area being forested. It is an important ecological area that provides a home to various types of flora and fauna.
