  • The pottery in Töpferhuus was founded in 1809. The Marburg “Dipperchen” are known beyond the borders. Decorative and utensils were made in the typical colors of reddish brown, brown, blue and green. Since the company was founded, many family members have made pottery to earn a living. In 1876, the company founder Johann Heinrich Schneider died, and his two sons Bernhard and Ludwig and finally his grandson Manfred, who had learned the trade in their father's business, continued the work.
    Marburg is a pottery town, but unfortunately the pottery had to close its doors at the beginning of 2021.
