This is a great path for those who are not afraid of wet feet (although that is not too bad) and do not want to walk on boardwalks all the time. Someone even called it the "dream path" and it takes you to Noir Flohay from where you can return via Helle, for example. It usually also makes your walk a little shorter and you see beautiful geological remains from the Ice Age and long before.
