The High Fens are one of Belgium's most unique nature reserves, located in the Ardennes. This vast raised bog area is known for its expansive landscapes, rare flora and fauna, and a unique ecosystem found nowhere else in Belgium.

The High Fens consist of fens, peat bogs, heathlands, and forest edges. The area is home to a rich biodiversity: from typical raised bog species such as cotton grass, marsh violets, and sundews to numerous birds, amphibians, and insects. The peaty soils and moist microclimates create a special ecosystem essential for the conservation of this flora and fauna.
