The originally planned bastion crown path should have been opened for the Federal Horticultural Show in spring 2021. After conservationists sued the project because it was supposed to lead through a protected forest area, the plan had to be rescheduled. This, but also the effects of the pandemic, the tense world market situation and, most recently, the damp weather have held up completion.

The bridge construction consists of two bridge girders, which are connected to form an overall construction. A bridge body runs as a continuation of the south-western fortress wall of Bastion Martin.

The bridge was completed 05/2023. Very nice facility with a good view.
The wine sale at the end of the bridge also makes a good impression. Great view with sun loungers. But we didn't use it...
