Felix Freiherr von Loë (after his knight's estate Terporten often called Felix Freiherr von Loë-Terporten from 1861) was a German administrative lawyer in the Rhine Province. He founded the Rheinischer Bauernverein (Rhenish Farmers' Association). He sat in the Prussian House of Representatives for twelve years and was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation before the founding of the German Empire. He stood for Catholicism in the Protestant Kingdom of Prussia.

A monument! It didn't immediately catch my eye on the tour. I'll take a closer look next time.

I'm often out and about in Kempen and I can still learn something about our history. @Naturjunge89: Thank you for the tip and the info.
