Weißenbrunn has been a beer village since the Middle Ages. The conditions here are ideal: a relatively cool climate, excellent water from the Weißbach spring, good malting barley from the surrounding farms for malt production, our own hop cultivation, a north-facing slope suitable for building rock cellars, lots of wood for heating the brew and making barrels.
The Gampert brewery has been family-owned since it was founded in 1514. With an annual beer production of 80,000 hl, Gampert-Bräu is now one of the largest breweries in the region. In 2014, Gampert-Bräu celebrated its 500th anniversary.
