Since the second half of the 18th century, the Jewish community in Geisa had a cemetery, which was expanded in 1857. The Jewish cemetery survived the Nazi era largely unscathed.
The older part of the cemetery lies on a wooded slope. A total of around 200 people are said to have been buried here. About 25 gravestones are still visible.
