Gestartet sind wir am Friedhof in Weingarten (werktags mit Parkscheibe 4 Std.) Zunächst ging es hinauf durch die Weinberge und weiter durch die Sohlsiedlung und am ehemaligen Sohlsteinbruch vorbei. Über Felder liefen wir weiter, tauchten in den Wald ein und sahen uns die Weiterlesquelle und die Hubertus-Hütte an. Sehr schön war auch der Hohlweg am Vogelpark. Wir wanderten weiter und liefen durch die Ungeheuerklamm. Danach machten wir uns auf den Rückweg, der ein gutes Stück oberhalb der Bundesstraße 3 verlief und bei besserer Fernsicht bis in den Pfälzer Wald gereicht hätte. Wieder am Friedhof angekommen, liefen wir noch zum Wartturm und genossen die Aussicht auf Weingarten.
