A really nice track! Certainly not to be recommended after continuous rain, since most of the time you want to walk on field and meadow paths. The view of the Ronneburg or later on the water tower forms a very nice and lasting accompaniment.

An extra long journey was accepted for the extra tour. With my brother in the luggage, we went along the famous Red Moor and the Kaskadenschlucht through the Rhön. A lot of hikers on the way, which was not surprising on a Sunday without rain in the area. Lots of variety, forest, meadow, gravel, rock, mud, root paths ... wonderful! Even the camping stove was used to prepare a warm lunch. With the temperatures being quite fresh, it wasn't a bad decision to take the stove with you. Will not have been the last extra tour in the Rhön :-) -

Short but decent round to the horseshoe. From there I walked down the entire Horseshoe Trail ... uh, but also partly rode it 😂. The upper part is nice to walk with the bike under my arm 🤪, from the middle on I pack on the saddle 😅. Without a fall, we quickly went home again.

Finally back out into nature🌳🌼🌻. After a two-week break, despite work and coming home later, I couldn't take it anymore and jumped into my hiking boots 🥾 again to run one of the last two missing Spessart tracks. Very varied, great views, beautiful forest and meadow paths, various heart-warming animals 🐮🐴🐑🐐 ... just everything you need for a beautiful hiking experience 🤗.

Everything went great 😀. All inexperienced participants with a backache pretended that everything was ok, we were able to fix a flat tire and the weather lasted until the (official) end. We ate at Cafe del Sol, which is also ideal for herbivores. Everything is great 👍🏻.

Nice 🌳🌳🌳 forest tour today! After warming up with a short hike, I went to Oberndorf to do the Spessart Biking Tour No. 4th
spessartbiken.de/spessartbiken/de/tourennetz/toureninformationen/jossataler_hoehentour. The tour runs primarily through the woods with many short sections of ups and downs. This route would certainly not be for trail junkies, but for me it didn't reduce the fun 🙂. The only thing I was worried about was my tires because of the sometimes very large and sharp gravel on the paths 😅. Finally, I had to join a queue of photographers in order to be able to at least partially photograph the world-famous Oberndorf penis fountain. Now I can say that I saw him live 🙈🤭.
PS: chaos of images, as is so often the case 😠

Was that nice! After the extremely idyllic beginning with the freshly mowed path along the Jossa, it went steadily uphill to the Hoheleite, before a functioning, but muddy off-grid section in the forest followed. The subsequent, wildly overgrown path above the railway line gave me constant encounters with 🦋 butterflies, who also accompanied me along a huge 🥀🌻🌼 flower meadow. At the end there were great impressions of the 🚝 drawbridge on the outskirts of Jossa. Definitely one of the best Spessart tracks 👍🏻.

The track consists of 4 different sections of the path, which, apart from the path to the Sölchesweiher and the continuing ravine, do not offer much scenic variety, but the Orber Forest simply convinces me without having to do much. Except to exist 😀. So this track does not end up in the upper third of all Spessart tracks, but it was nice anyway 🤗.And why was I again on the road much longer than stated in the official route length? Sure, exactly at the tricky point where you come across the easily overlooked junction, I get a call from work while on vacation 🙈. That's right, I swear 🤪.

Several years after doing my community service 🚑 in Bad Orb, I paid another visit to the small town today. During civil times, I only raced through the city, so I never actually got to know it. I made up for that today ... and it was really worth it. Directly above the spa town you can immerse yourself in a wonderful natural atmosphere, which I would never have thought. The paths (parts of "Rundwanderweg 11") literally scream for a premium hiking trail certification, I think. Seldom experienced something great. In addition, the somewhat old-fashioned-sounding spa park was in a wonderful guise, which of course would not be expected on Sundays full of crowds. A great hike and now I finally know my "civil town" 😀.
