PATH OF HOPE
on the former patrol road invites reflection.
Fourteen monumental sculptures by the artist Dr. Ulrich Barnikel mark a section of the former death strip between Hesse and Thuringia. The Point Alpha Foundation erected it in 2009 to commemorate the resistance against communist dictatorships in Central and Eastern Europe.
