The mill was first mentioned in a document in 1564. It served as a grinding, cutting and oil mill. Later it was also used to generate electricity. Today is a residential building and is also used as a private museum. Since 2006, electricity has been generated here again using a turbine with a generator. Definitely worth seeing

Hiking

The use of water power on the Wesenitz in Elbersdorf has been proven to date back to the 16th century. A total of 5 water wheels powered the mill. When the mill was closed in 1969/0, electricity was still being generated until 1974 and then the ensemble fell into disrepair, with the remains of the hydraulic engineering being noted as historically significant. With a new owner, the reactivation of the facility was planned in 1999.
The Mühlhaus is now used for residential purposes and has been used since 2006
t a turbine with generator but again electricity, at least 100kw.
