The iron sandstone ruin of St. John's Church, overgrown by grass, stands in an old cemetery. In 1264 it became a parish church and from 1297 a collegiate church. The church was destroyed between 1578 and 1580, during the religious wars and in particular during the sack of the city in 1580 by the Prince of Orange. Only the choir and some wall sections remain of the Gothic construction, which make it possible to recreate the medieval plan.
