The Aralandia is a unique facility where macaws live largely freely and can be wonderfully observed. It is part of a macaw breeding program: macaws can choose their own partners here. The birds are equipped with transmitters so that their social life can be researched. There are climbing shafts between the outdoor enclosure and the enclosed, hidden enclosure, which, if necessary, technically allow a bird to be captured with as little stress as possible. On the high walkway you get really close to the wonderful birds and you can feel the breeze as they fly over you.
