The water cascade is one of the most important decorative elements of the Lennépark and was subsequently added to the park between 1869 and 1890 - albeit in a place where the park's creator, Peter Joseph Lenné, had already planned it. The skill with which the stone setting was made, among other things, makes the cascade particularly valuable. Strictly speaking, it is a cascade and a grotto at the same time, because it gives itself a roof and frames itself at the sides. This also amplifies the sound of the falling water and creates the illusion of a canyon.
