Former Village Smithy of Burg am Wald

Up until a few (many? Time flies...) years ago, the building, which is still reasonably preserved and not very well looked after, housed the village smithy. Before the bridge was renewed and slightly widened, the original bridge and the forge that was still in use very low on the stream formed a spectacular ensemble.Like so many forges, mills, etc., this one was also abandoned.The last blacksmith enabled the dear customer to do a lot that today either seems impossible or is almost unaffordable. Local crafts within still manageable and not anonymous village communities, and not the industrial mass from the hardware store or the Internet.Nice to have known something like that (without wanting to appear too nostalgic).
