Nadelhof Farmstead

This large and impressive farm is one of the few in the surrounding area that has (still) attached land.
The farm once included cows, pigs and chickens, as well as a considerable amount of machinery.A few years ago, agriculture was largely abandoned.It remains to be seen whether the rumors that the farm will be demolished and rebuilt in connection with the new development area are true.In the direction of Burg am Wald there is a board on the edge of the forest that explains that in the area of the Nadelhof there was a “Haldenhof” in earlier times, the history of which is also linked to that of the Nadelhof.Personally, I find it a shame that after/in addition to many smaller farms in the community, this comparatively stately agricultural operation is being given up and that the farm could possibly disappear completely, given the previous history associated with it.That's just the flow of time...The areas adjacent to the farm will soon be developed as a new development area. The path to this, and in particular the type of planned development that has now been approved and was previously heavily criticized, was paved or implemented by the municipality and the mayor using methods that were sometimes very controversial in the community.
