Burg am Wald–Oberbirken Scenic Route

Pretty, narrow street that connects e.g. Ibental or Buchenbach with Stegen / Freiburg or St. Peter, and is a popular route with pedestrians, cyclists and many more.
Road surface (07/2022) mainly good to very good.On some days you can see as far as the Vosges. In conjunction with other indicators, this is usually a sure sign of bad weather within the next two or three days.In addition to the connection with Burg am Wald, Oberbirken has the road from/to Unterbirken (continue either to Zarten, Kirchzarten or Stegen), the pretty, car-free Schulstraße from/to Stegen City, the small road to "Stegen Ost" (Eschbach/St. Peter), as well as the dead-end road for racing bikes into the nevertheless pretty Rechtenbachtal (mountain bike or on foot to Lindenberg); the latter branches off in the 180-degree curve.
