"Like most churches in the Altmark, it was built between the 12th and 13th centuries." The asymetrically superior tower, whose small access, about two meters above the ground, still reveals its former defensive significance, did not appear until the 15th century.

The carved altar dates back to this period and immediately overlooks the church when you enter the church. In the shrine of this late Gothic altar there is a Madonna surrounded by a halo and standing on a crescent moon.
