About Maik Richter

Today it's back again, from Hanover to Dannenberg. Will probably start in the early afternoon. But first of all I'm going for a walk with Antje through Hannover Linde (Antje is a good friend of mine, whom I always visit and who I stay with when I cycle to Hanover). Of course, I also take photos again during the walk 🙂📷 Unfortunately the weather no longer looks as good as it was shown in my weather app yesterday. It should be cloudy most of the day, but at least it's not that cold anymore.

Tomorrow (Sunday April 18th) I want to cycle from Dannenberg to Hanover again (for the first time this year) and then back on Monday. I'm really looking forward to the tour and hope that the weather is reasonably okay.

Yesterday morning I left pretty early to photograph the sunrise again. However, it was still pretty cold in the morning (-1 ° C), which is why I didn't really feel like doing a bigger lap. The sunrise was pretty nice though.

The first picture was taken before the tour started (photographed from my living room window during sunrise).
Actually, I wanted to cycle to Hagenow that day (I've never been there before), but first looked on the Internet and found that as a "day tourist" you are currently not allowed to go to MeckPomm. So I cycled towards Uelzen, on the way there with a lot of headwind and gusts of wind. But I often had a tailwind on the way back.April 9, 2021

On Easter Sunday I did another bike tour to the southern Wendland. The weather wasn't that nice (overcast and a bit windy), but it was still fun. I started around 2 p.m. and got back home around 11:30 p.m.I'm slowly starting to have to get myself new saddlebags. My old, holey saddlebags patched with gaffa tape don't look so good on the new bike 🤔🙈

Hello Maik, you drove right by me. Next time just ring the doorbell and we'll have coffee or tea. As you like.

Yesterday I had the first inspection of my new e-bike. At 2.30 p.m. I was able to pick up the bike again and since the weather was so nice, I cycled back straight away.
It was also the first tour that year that I rode in a t-shirt 🙂I didn't take many photos this time. This time I just wanted to cycle and enjoy the beautiful weather. Of course, I took a few pictures anyway 😉April 1, 2021

On Monday (March 29th) I cycled my first Dannenberg - Wittenberge - Dannenberg lap this year. With 125 km also the longest tour so far this spring and preparation for the even longer tours (140-160km) that I want to cycle again this summer (e.g. Dannenberg - Hanover - Dannenberg, Dannenberg - Lauenburg - Lüneburg - Dannenberg, etc. ).On the way there I cycled over Dömitz, Lenzen and Cumlosen and had a lot of tailwind. But on the way back (via Wahrenberg, Schnackenburg, Vietze and Gorleben) there was headwind almost the whole time, with some very strong gusts of wind.So far I have unfortunately not yet managed to optimize and upload all pictures of the tour. If you like, please have a look again in 2-3 days, by then a few more photos will certainly have been added.
