This is a steep but great climb up the slate to the top of Castle Crag. Even though it is the smallest of the Wainwright's it's one of the best there is

Seems a real shame to post this for those that haven’t been as it’s a massive surprise finding it at the top. Looks super risky to walk up but nowhere near as bad as it looks once you are into it….it’s also the only way to the top.

Wonderful little Wainwright to do. Seeing the slate trail and the memorial at the top was a complete surprise. A great outing!
