High Tove is a Wainwright fell in the Lake District National Park. The summit is marked by a large cairn and in his books, Alfred Wainwright comments that '(the cairn) offers a seat to travellers who wish to pour the water out of their boots' as High Tove is in a notoriously boggy part of the Lake District! The guidebook writer certainly had a sense of humour!

The path up from Watendlath isn't to wet, but beware of the bog from other directions

I found it very boggy coming over from Raven Crag to High Tove and onwards down to Ambroth Fell. Hard going in places!
