The row of houses on the south side of the market square was the location of the former "Schuhhof", the oldest guild house in the city, built in 1251. Among the buildings there is a Gothic vaulted cellar with a restaurant. A metal plate in the pavement on the corner of Markt and Kornmarkt shows the "Vierkirchenblick", from which the four inner city churches are visible at the same time.
