The Albani Cemetery in Göttingen is historic. It is no longer used as a graveyard. There is a playground with a small sculpture park and a green area between the wall and the cemetery. Here is also the burial place of Prof. Dr. Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss and his family. The brain of J.C.F. Gauss is kept in an institute in the Humboldtallee. It is anatomically completely unremarkable. None of the scientific investigations carried out so far could find a reason for the extraordinary scientific talents.
Cheltenhampark is the park north-east between Albani Cemetery and Town Hall. Both facilities are separated from each other by the Schwänchenteich. There is also a playground in Cheltenhampark and the Rohnssche Badehaus.

Cheltenham Park (Chelti) has its very own character when you take a break on the soft lawn of the park and at the same time are surrounded by old gravestones. There is a children's playground, a pond and barbecues are allowed (containers for ashes are available).

Cheltenham Park and the old Albani Cemetery in Göttingen merge. At the Albani Cemetery lies the burial place of the famous mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss, who will be known to many non-mathematicians as "the man of the cap" of the last 10 DM-certificate.
