Until 1890, the dull bangs and ringing blows of the blacksmith's hammers from the Neufanger village smithy sounded throughout the country. Andreas Rosenberger was the name of the last newcomer Dorfschmied. In 1890 he emigrated to the Reichsbahn in Nuremberg.
