The bust of Emperor Franz I of Austria, originally made of lead, was placed in a niche in the perimeter wall of the Sibiu Citadel on Corneliu Coposu Boulevard in 1828. The monument was destroyed during the revolution in December 1989 and replaced in 2006 by a stone replica on a pedestal. The replica of the bust was cast by the Ceramics Restoration Department of the ASTRA Museum.
