The corner pavilions designed by French architect Charles-Louis Remy de la Fosse in the line of the avenue in the Great Garden were once created so that Duke George Ludwig – later George I and King of England – could see from his Herrenhausen Palace where the manor houses Gardens ended. Both temples, built in 1706, still exist today.

The two temples of Remy de la Fosse stand on the counts of the Herrenhausen Gardens.

They were built by the French architect Remy de la Fosse over 300 years ago.

Anyone approaching the Herrenhausen Gardens from outside will experience their first impressive view of the gardens. Cleverly and consistently planned!
