The Orangery, laid out in 1696, was one of the most important ceremonial spaces in the Baroque era, part of the garden's "festival axis" radiating from the gallery building. It was reconstructed in 2024/25 according to 18th-century plans.

This space now serves solely, without distracting embellishments, to showcase the beauty and diversity of the various citrus species and varieties during the summer months.

They were precious status symbols in the Baroque period.

In winter, the potted plants are moved to the orangery building.
