This beautiful park offers an oasis of calm in the middle of the city and is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike.

The Danish King's Garden was laid out in the 17th century and is one of Tallinn's oldest parks. Here you can stroll along the paths and enjoy the beauty of the gardens adorned with flowers, trees and fountains.

In the middle of the park is also an impressive Renaissance castle that once served as a summer residence for the Danish king. Today you can tour the castle and learn how it has been used as a residence, prison and military base over the centuries.

The Danish King's Garden is also a popular venue for events and celebrations. In the summer you can experience concerts, festivals and markets that enrich life in Tallinn.

Through the Danish King’s Garden you can easily get from Toompea Hill to the Lower Town and get an idea of the influence of Denmark on Tallinn’s history at that time.

Day 4. A zig zag 250km drive from Saaremaa Island to Haapsalu castle first on the NW Estonian coastline and then onwards to Tallin. The historic centre of Tallin is UNESCO rated and justifiably so. Toompea castle and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral are simply stunning as is the rest of the town. The weather was a nice spring like 22c today too so everything looked great.
