The washed-out water hole of the Steinbach used to be used as a place of execution. The condemned man was pushed under water with a sack over his head by means of a pole until death occurred.

From here you can walk the hiking trail through the waterfall at the Mühlenbahn or use the train to get to the top. The ascent is easy to do.

If the Mülegg-Bähnli is used to get to the three ponds, the waiting time can be used to watch the waterfall from the Mülenen Gorge.
