The monastery mill has been documented since the 17th century. It once belonged to the Eulenbroich family, which dates back to the 13th century. It probably passed to the Augustinian monastery in Rösrath in the 18th century. As the Tranchot map of Rösrath from around 1820 shows, the mill was supplied with service water by a long upper ditch that branched off from the Sülz to the north of the manor house. The water was fed back to the Sülz via an equally elongated lower ditch.

The grain mill was probably shut down in the 19th century.

Hiking

The Rösrath monastery mill probably once belonged to Eulenbroich Castle and was handed over to the monastery in the 18th century. The Klostermühle has been run as a restaurant since 1984.
