It couldn't have gone better: bright sunshine, fresh air, and a hiking group that was simply in great spirits.

With stable weather, we started our circular tour in the Boppard district of Hirzenach. The route initially led through quiet scattered orchards before gradually ascending and transitioning into wooded sections.

The deeper we ventured into the Wahner Heide, the more the landscape changed: Dark forests gave way to sunny, sandy expanses.
