A great private museum whose owner preserved huge numbers of Reichsbahn steam locos from being scrapped in the 90's. He himself calls it the locomotive cemetery without sadness, and that suits the mood: now in the spring overgrown with greenery, one industrial monument next to the other. A visit is absolutely worthwhile!

For a small fee (5€) you support the maintenance of this memorable place that catapults you back a century to the time of the steam locomotive express trains. Massive equipment, parked close together here and left to the elements, except for a few specimens in the decoy shed.
Looking at details and climbing the cramped driver's cabs can take a whole day ;o)
And if that's not enough, there are even more fire horses in Falkenberg/Elster (near Leipzig!).
