The Asam-Hof (or the Asam-Höfe) was built in 1978 on a parking lot (vacancy) in a sought-after inner-city location as a mixed use for commercial and residential space in the style of the late 1970s.
Since then, in the middle of Munich's Old Town, directly behind the Asam Church, there has been an ensemble of apartments on the upper floors, shops, restaurants, cafes as well as small offices and doctors' practices on the ground floor, which are grouped around leafy courtyards with paved paths.

With the ASAMHOF, an ensemble of apartments, shops, restaurants, cafes as well as small offices and practices was created in the middle of Munich's old town next to the Asam Church, which are grouped around several green inner courtyards.
Colors and shapes, paths and trees and fountains created an urban dynamic that enlivened the entire area around the former parking lot.
Among other things Through the passage to Kreuzstrasse and Brunnstrasse, the historically significant, but previously neglected infrastructural area of the city between Sendlingerstrasse and Sonnenstrasse was sustainably upgraded.

Quite a quiet place with a number of smaller restaurants and shops and a nicer atmosphere and less hustle and bustle than the main shopping streets.
